protection. During the later years of nuclear testing in the New Mexico desert, the Air Force was responsible for dropping the United States Army's nuclear weapons in the area. Though never mentioned at all in The Hills have Eyes remake series, it is featured in the original 1970s film. In the film the Air Force was examining the desert area multiple times to investigate loss of personell and to see who was responisble for ambushing one of their airfields and slaughtering thier airmen.
